I've spent much of my career in edit bays, control rooms, and behind the camera. From producing live television and helping develop new programming for NBC and CNN to directing commercials and branded content, I've had the opportunity to work across nearly every aspect of media production.
My early years in television gave me a strong foundation in storytelling, creative development, and working under the demands of live broadcast. At CNN, I helped develop and launch programming, worked with talent and production teams, and contributed to work recognized with Peabody and Alfred I. duPont-Columbia Awards. During this time I produced thousands of segments that aired around the globe. My career has also included projects for Apple, FOX, Red Bull, Intel, and other major brands, with roles ranging from producer and director to cinematographer and editor.
Today, as Director of Multimedia at Spectrum, I oversee productions supporting corporate communications, marketing, and brand initiatives. My work includes executive communications, documentary-style storytelling, national television commercials, customer stories, and live events. I've also led the development of an in-house production studio, helping establish the facilities, equipment, and workflows needed for live broadcasts, podcasts, and executive messaging.
Working across so many disciplines has given me a practical understanding of what it takes to turn creative ideas into finished work. I know the technical demands of production, the challenges of managing crews and resources, and the decisions required when schedules, budgets, and creative ambitions don't always align. That experience helps me approach projects from both a creative and operational perspective.
I'm also interested in how technology continues to reshape the creative process. I regularly incorporate AI tools, including Claude, ChatGPT, Google's AI applications, and AI-powered production software into my workflows to explore ideas, improve efficiency, and expand what's possible.
What I enjoy most is finding the creative possibility in an assignment, discovering an unexpected angle, making a complicated subject engaging, or coming up with an approach that makes an ordinary story worth watching. Whether I'm developing a concept, directing a production, or bringing together the people and resources to make it happen, that creative challenge is what continues to motivate me.
